DOST stands for “Development of Societies in Transition”. We work in the Gilgit Baltistan region on a voluntarily basis to improve lives of the most deserving people.

We focus on

Education

We operate 8 schools. 90% of our students gets FREE education, which is possible with your support

Training Center

We established Fiza Bibi training center. More then 700 girls have been trained for various skills such as dresses and handicrafts to earn living

Society Improvement

Constructed bridges, protective walls, hydro power station, provide continuous education to underserved societies and youth

Education

DOST is running 8 schools in the most remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. We typically run our schools in areas where is no close government schools. Our aim is to not leave behind people who are in those remote areas. Usually the people in those areas are also very poor. DOST provide FREE education to those deserving student.

Training

At Fiza Bibi training center. We teach to sew cloths and make various handicrafts. The goal is to teach skills to earn living. We have trained more then 700 females at our center. It takes 6 months to train. The profit is then spent on school expenses.

We started in 1998 as “M.Ibrahim Memorial Society” (MIMS) and in 2014 changed our name to “Development Of Societies in Transition” (DOST). We are a non-political, non-religious, non-partisan and not-for-profit organization.
